The deal, in plain words

What it costs

The core app is free and stays free: unlimited family members, unlimited chores and rewards, family goals, streaks, badges and Year in Review. There are no ads. Premium extras may arrive later, but nothing you use today will move behind a paywall. The one limit today is photo storage: your most recent 100 photos are kept.

Your family, your responsibility

A parent or guardian creates the family and is responsible for it: who joins, what the chores say, which photos get taken and which rewards are promised. Keep the join code to yourselves. There are no passwords in FridgeDoor: the code is the key, so anyone who has it can join your family and see everything in it. If you share one device, remember that switching profiles is a tap, so treat that device the way you would treat the fridge door itself: visible to everyone in the house.

Points and rewards are between you

Points exist inside your family only. They are not money, they have no cash value, they cannot be transferred out or redeemed with us. Rewards are whatever your family writes on the shelf — we do not provide, fund, deliver or guarantee them. If ice cream was promised and never arrived, that is a family matter.

Photos

The photos stay yours. By uploading them you let us store and show them inside your family and nowhere else. Please only upload pictures of chores that everyone in the family is comfortable being seen by the rest of it, and nothing unlawful. We may remove content that is clearly illegal.

Fair use

Use FridgeDoor for your own family. Do not attack it, scrape it, resell it, or try to reach other families' data. We may cut off access for a family that does.

This is a new app

FridgeDoor just launched. We work on it constantly, which means features change and things occasionally break. We cannot promise uninterrupted service or that data will never be lost, so please do not use FridgeDoor as the only place something important is written down. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by anything on this page.

Ending it

You can delete your family whenever you like, and the data goes with it — see Privacy. We may cut off access for a family that breaks these terms. Questions about any of it: app@fridgedoor.net.

Who agrees to this

A parent or guardian sets up the family and accepts these terms for the household, including on behalf of children too young to agree themselves. If you are under 15, ask a parent or guardian to set FridgeDoor up with you.

Changes to these terms

FridgeDoor keeps changing, so these terms will too. Changes are published on this page with a new date at the top, and anything that materially affects you we will say in the app rather than hope you re-read this page. Using FridgeDoor after a change means you accept it; if you don't, delete your family.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If you are a consumer, that choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country you live in. If something goes wrong, write to app@fridgedoor.net first — nearly everything can be sorted that way. We do not recognise any out-of-court consumer dispute resolution provider, so a dispute we cannot settle goes to the court with jurisdiction under the applicable rules; as a consumer you can also complain to the Slovenian Market Inspectorate (Tržni inšpektorat RS).
