Alta got more than a foot of snow the day before so the conditions were great. Yes, in May! It was cold in the morning so there weren’t any bikinis on the slope this year. Oh well, the “fresh tracks” made up for that!

No sleep and lot’s of spontaneous “biology”. But nobody mentioned we chose to ignore some of the extra complications; she’s already twenty pounds and can almost outrun us! Soon she’ll weigh in at 120 pounds! She sure is a sweetie though. Especially now that she’s adopting us as her pack.

Robin took the kids up early in the week and I joined later. There was lot’s of wild life including moose, potguts and humming birds. But mostly it was about the wildflowers. Thea said she found all the colors of the rainbow. They filled the meadows.

They had fun exploring Salt Lake Valley and we had fun sharing a bit of our Utah lifestyle with them. I think Lexi had the best time - she really liked the chickens!

Add to that, Maya frequently brings them in for visits.

Now they think they own the place! We’ve only had a few accidents, but I think we’ll see more. Unless of course Maya really can housetrain chickens.

I’m not optimistic.
